Our guests were treated to an unforgettable evening of period music and entertainment\, mugshots\, a silent auction of items from the “evidence room”\, an immersive jailbreak experience\, social dancing\, and some of the best “prison food” ever served on this side of the Mississippi.\nTHIS YEAR\, we’re getting into a different groove! On the evening of August 8\, 2025\, we’re breaking out the bell-bottoms\, tie-dye\, and longhair fashions as we pay tribute to the Eureka Springs of 1973 and the “Longhair Invasion” of back-to-the-land artists\, musicians\, and free-thinkers that turned our town into an original Ozark hippie haven.\n*******************************\nThe Longhair Invasion – WHAT is it?\nTo pay tribute to this unique time in our town’s history\, the Eureka Springs Historical Museum will be hosting the Longhair Invasion fundraiser in the summer of 2025. This is the second in a series of “Time Travel” themed interactive events created by the museum. The Longhair Invasion will feature 1973 music and entertainment\, immersive roleplay activities\, social dancing\, food\, and more!\n*******************************\nWHEN is it?\nThe event takes place on the evening of Friday\, August 8\, 2025 from 5pm to 10pm.\n*******************************\nWHERE is it?\nThe event is being hosted at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center\, located behind the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks at 207 W. DESCRIPTION:Everything’s Elemental: “The 12 Forces of Nature”\nYou are invited to BREWS newest art exhibition\, Everything’s Elemental: “The 12 Forces of Nature\,” which will open with an artist’s reception on Wednesday\, March 4th\, from 5 to 8 p.m. \n The “12 elements of nature” refers to concepts in fantasy\, spirituality\, or simplified worldviews\, commonly including Earth\, Water\, Wind/Air\, Fire\, Thunder\, Ice\, Force\, Time\, Flower\, Shadow\, Light\, and the Moon\, which represent fundamental aspects of life and the universe. These elements can be expanded to include concepts such as spirit\, energy\, consciousness\, space\, and nature’s cycles to deepen meaning.  \nArtists were asked to incorporate at least one of these elements (but preferably more than one) into their piece. \n Curated by Becky Stracener Epp\, this exhibition features works in multiple forms by more than 40 talented local artists. \nBREWS is a unique coffee\, craft beer\, and art gallery that showcases rotating art exhibitions every six weeks. Come see their newly renovated space\, which remains a hub for artistic expression and community engagement.
