Crazy Canvas Quilt: ESHM Fundraiser Community Art Project
Recently, I joined many local artists in creating 6×6-inch canvases to create the Crazy Canvas Quilt. I was able to create two pieces for this event. Proceeds benefit the Eureka Springs Historical Museum. I was so excited to be a part of the Crazy Canvas Quilt Fundraiser this summer.

As a tribute to the historic “Crazy Quilt” tradition of the Ozarks, and a compliment to the colorful May Festival of the Arts in Eureka Springs, ESHM is seeking local artists to participate in a new community art project. Each invited artist will be given a 6 inch x 6 inch blank canvas for use in the project. Artists are encouraged to draw, paint, sew, collage, texture, and embellish their canvas as a response to the theme “Eureka Springs – you fit here”.
The opening reception shall take place at 4pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026 following the Artrageous Parade. All artist canvas works will be installed into a “Crazy Quilt” style grid display to be exhibited in May, June, and July 2026 at the Eureka Springs Historical Museum. Then on August 1, 2026, a public auction shall be held and each individual canvas sold.
